Solar Energy Audit

Solar Audit Services

Study of Solar power to the highest level

Before embarking on the journey of solar panel installation, conducting a solar energy audit is an essential first step. We are the professional solar energy auditor, who assesses the efficiency and performance of a solar photovoltaic (PV) system by inspecting all its components, including panels, inverters, wiring, and mounting structures, to identify potential issues, calculate energy production, and recommend improvements to maximize energy output and system lifespan, while also considering local regulations and codes related to solar installations; essentially.

RESOLUTION audit the system to ensure it is operating at its optimal capacity and identify areas for improvement.

Types of Solar Energy Audit

General Audit
The general audit, also known as a mini-audit, site energy audit, or complete site energy audit, builds upon the preliminary audit by gathering more comprehensive information about the facility's operations and conducting a thorough evaluation of the identified energy conservation measures. Utility bills spanning 12 to 36 months are analyzed to assess the facility's energy/demand rate structures and usage patterns. Additional metering of specific energy-consuming systems is often conducted to supplement utility data. Detailed interviews with facility personnel are carried out to gain a deeper understanding of major energy-consuming systems and to identify patterns or variations in daily and annual energy consumption and demand. This type of audit provides a complete identification of all energy conservation measures suitable for the facility based on its operational characteristics. A detailed financial analysis is conducted for each measure, incorporating precise implementation cost estimates, site-specific operating cost savings, and the customer’s investment criteria. The report offers sufficient detail to support and justify project implementation decisions.
Investment-Grade Audit
In many corporate environments, upgrades to a facility’s energy infrastructure must compete with other non-energy-related investments for capital funding. Both types of investments are evaluated using a common set of financial criteria, typically emphasizing the expected return on investment (ROI). For energy projects to secure funding, their projected operating savings must be presented with a high degree of accuracy and confidence. In many cases, investors require guaranteed savings to mitigate risk. The investment-grade audit, also known as a comprehensive audit, detailed audit, maxi audit, or technical analysis audit, builds on the general audit by creating a dynamic model of the facility’s energy use. This model represents both the current energy performance of the facility and the potential improvements from identified energy conservation measures (ECMs). The model is calibrated using actual utility data to establish a reliable baseline for calculating the operating savings of proposed measures. This audit places significant focus on analyzing the operating characteristics of all energy-consuming systems and identifying factors that drive variations in energy load profiles on both an annual and daily basis. Utility data is further enhanced with sub-metering of major energy-consuming systems and detailed monitoring of system performance. This approach provides the comprehensive data and analysis necessary to justify and support high-confidence investment decisions.
